Israel has accepted an Egyptian proposal for a truce following the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Hamas, the movement which controls Gaza, has however rejected the plan calling it surrender.
The proposal urges a ceasefire starting imminently, followed by a series of meetings in Cairo with high-level delegations from both sides.
United Nations estimates that over three-quarters of the 192 people Palestinian officials say have been killed by Israeli air strikes were civilians.
It is estimated that over one thousand four hundred Palestinians have been injured.
On the Israeli side, at least four people have been injured, but no-one has been killed.
